Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear’. Hebrews 11:1-3.

Faith plays a very vital role in the Christian work – for a faithless Christian cannot produce the same results as one that has faith. It may appear insignificant when dealing with physical matters but we can’t downplay the potency and impact faith has played in every happening around us. If you remove faith from Christianity, it becomes mere theory because faith has a way of bringing our subconsciousness back to our Creator when in need, believing that He will make it happen even when everything physical proves otherwise.

A faithless Christian cannot even please God, see Hebrews 11:6.How can you make it through this sinful world without faith with the hope of seeing your Creator on the last day? You need your faith to be alive to keep your eyes on the goal before you. Still that same verse tells us that if we must see God, we must believe that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. So, even for you to get rewarded, you must come through the portal of faith.

Even to get healing in the Bible, we were made to understand that you must have faith, i.e., believe that you can be healed (see Matthew 9:28). So, you see, in every case, your faith must be activated for your desired expectation to be expressed. Every time Jesus healed someone in the Bible, the healing didn’t just happen because it was Jesus but because they had faith and believed in Jesus. You can see cases that the people were asked if they want to get healed. This wasn’t because He can’t heal them or doesn’t know they need healing, but they have to put in something to activate their healing with faith.

In Matthew 9:20-22, we see the story of the woman with the issues of blood who had tried all measures to get her healing but to no avail. She did everything humanly and physically possible; family and friends left her in that state. But the amazing thing that is captured here is that, when she heard that Jesus was passing by, she arose and decided to risk the shame and every hindrance that would try to stop her and went on that journey to touch the master’s garment. Whatever gave her the audacity and confidence that by touching someone’s garment she would be made whole, was FAITH. Faith makes you do things that naturally will be considered as foolishness. Faith can make you look stupid in the sight of faithless people. With faith, you can go the extra length in pursuit of what you believe and defend its course at all cost.

When we pray, it strengthens our beliefs and allows miracles to happen. Faith, I would say, can go without prayer but prayer cannot go without faith. No matter who you are, who prophesied on you or what you prayed for, if you do not have faith, you cannot get it. The devil knows how powerful faith is and constantly puts thoughts and imaginations that make God look like a liar but we know the God we serve.

People say, miracle strengthens faith but that is not true. They believe miracle has to happen for one to have faith, but without faith, the miracle cannot happen. Even if it’s not the sick that has faith, someone’s faith must be put to test.

Miracles still happen today. Have you ever been in a situation that got you depressed and devastated and you know it can only take a miracle for the story to change? Something in you kept holding on and never let go, believing and hoping for a change? And suddenly, everything turns for your favour? That was faith at work! People getting healed in miracle services. Some cases that are beyond medical attention get cured in churches and you think they just happened? That is faith at work. When Jesus performed His first miracle at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, that was faith portrayed as seen in every one that participated in the process. They believed that He would do the impossible.

Romans 10:17, Faith comes by hearing and not by hearing anything but by hearing the word of God. To increase in faith is to increase in the knowledge of the word of God. And to access the chambers of miracle, you must cross that horizontal line from faithless to a faithful Christian. God doesn’t pamper faithlessness because you cannot please Him.

Before you envy or get upset of anyone, ask yourself the level you are on your faith-meter. This is because if you don’t command the same result, then it is clear you are on a different faith level. The word of God is the only plug in increasing our faith level. Eat the word, hunger for it and you will see your miracle rolling in without stress.
