Text: Psalms 40:1-3

“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”

The plan of God at the beginning which was made manifest for all to see, is for man as the crown of His creature to be at the top of the top. But man ended in the pit right from the peak.

Jesus came to our rescue with his shed blood on calvary for the remission of our sins, making sons of us with all the attendant powers. THIS IS OUR FOCUS.

Why should a redeemed child of God be in the pit of sin, shame, sickness and satanism even after the price has been paid by our Lord Jesus Christ? I therefore stand on the eternal rock of ages to declare concerning a reader of this good treasure that a positive relocation in upward and correct direction is coming your way now in the everlasting name of Jesus. ROAR AN AMEN.

In our focal scripture, the anointed Psalmist testified about the uncommon divine intervention that relocated him from the pit to the peak saying: “…he brought me out of the horrible pit…” This means the everlasting hand of God was stretched towards him and retrieved him, brought him back to the top or above situations and circumstances from where he was temporarily missing.

Remember this same mighty hand came to the rescue of Peter in Matthew 14:30-31. Concerning the storms around your marriage, the Everlasting Hand of God will arise to your rescue; the Everlasting Hand of God will rescue you from stormy financial waters in Jesus name.

Furthermore, the feet of the Psalmist were set on the rock to stay, no shaking anymore and no fidgeting. This is a pointer to the fact that the man’s going had become very sure and guaranteed. If God be for us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31).

God did not stop at the above, rather, He went further to put a new song in the mouth of the Psalmist. May I say this? You will sing a new song of abundant blessings, a song of perfect health at the peak in Jesus name. Whatever and whoever threatens to stop your song is hereby stopped for your sake, whatever and whoever wants you to go down or remain down is going down now for your sake in Jesus name.

Friends, the peak represents the place of the full manifestation of your potentials, where you are effectively in charge and in command like Elijah in II Kings 1:9-12.

It was from the peak that Elijah rained down fire upon the enemies of his life and ministry. There, the arrester became roasted. Whoever has been contracted to undermine any area of your life will meet their waterloo today in Jesus name.

The peak represents the place of beholding the glory of God at a very close range, just like John the beloved was asked to come up higher in Revelation 4:1. You may want to be reminded also that when Jesus took three of his disciples to the mount where he transfigured in their presence, they beheld the glory of God and even Peter did not want to depart from the mountain top because their lives were overwhelmingly transformed. YOU ARE THE NEXT TO EXPERIENCE THE PEAK OF GOD’S GLORY.

Finally, Beloved, the peak is within reach. The glory is accessible. Arise and extricate yourself from every form of sin that easily besets you with confession and speedy repentance, and invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Saviour.
