As Bishop David Oyedepo, the esteemed founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide and Faith Tabernacle’s Presiding Bishop, celebrates his 70th birthday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sent a message of well wishes and felicitations to the iconic religious leader.
In a statement released on Thursday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the Governor praised Bishop Oyedepo as a paragon of integrity, devotion, and service. He lauded the Bishop’s unwavering commitment to both his religious vocation and philanthropic endeavors, recognizing his exemplary leadership as a shining example for to emulate.
The Governor emphasized Bishop Oyedepo’s momentous impact on the spiritual realm, citing his long history of altruistic service as a powerful source of inspiration for countless individuals. The Governor commended the clergyman for his tireless efforts in the pursuit of God’s work, positioning him as a beacon of hope to millions of people who have been touched by his ministry.

Bishop David Oyedepo was born on September 27, 1954 in the serene town of Osogbo in Western Nigeria, but his father hails from Omu-Aran in Kwara State.
According to Wikipedia, “He was raised in a mixed-religious family. His father, Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer. His mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria. He was raised by his grandmother in Osogbo, who introduced him to the virtues of Christian life via early morning prayers which she attended with him. She also taught him the importance of tithing.”
