The General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),  Pastor Enoch Adeboye has emphasised the need to imbibe the spirit of humility before God so that He can uplift the humble.

The tele-evangelist spoke yesterday while delivering his November thanksgiving service message at the RCCG national headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

His ministration revolved around the theme, “Divine Acceleration”.

Adeboye said the time has come for Nigerians to experience a shift from struggling to make ends meet to living a prosperous life.

“Nigerians should humble themselves like the failed fisherman in the Bible who after toiling throughout the night caught nothing, obeyed the instruction of Jesus Christ to launch into the deep. He humbly obeyed and caught so much fish that the net started to break.

“Nigerians should also learn about humility from king Nebuchadnezzar who was warned and for refusal to heed the warning of putting himself in the place of Almighty God to be worshipped, became an animal and had to eat grass in the forest for seven years which was nothing but accelerated demotion,” Adeboye said.

He noted that Nigerians and the country can experience accelerated promotion if they can humble themselves, cooperate with God and appreciate the greatest sacrifice for mankind, Jesus Christ who took our place on the cruel cross.

Addressing the press, the residing Pastor, Throne of Grace, Pastor Adebayo Adeyemo said if Nigerians can trust God, align to His will, there would experience accelerated promotion.

In his characteristic way, he enjoined Nigerians to exercise patience and give the current Federal Government support to continue in their search to bring the country out of its economic mess, as forex is beginning to yield the desired result.
