The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has announced her 56th National Board Meeting schedule to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State from July 24-28, 2023.
According to statement from the faith-based organisation and signed by the Media and PR Manager, BSN, Mr. Ben Mordi, the meeting will be declared open by the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The meeting will start with a divine service holding at the Cathedral of St. Barnabas Anglican Cathedral, Muritala Way, Ilorin on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
The statement read, “The President and Board Chairman of The Society, Bishop Dr. Timothy Banwo will preside over the meeting which is being hosted by the West North Zone of the BSN. Among other things, the past and future activities of the organisation concerning its Bible work mandates will be discussed at the meeting.
“The accounts of the organisation for the past one year would be examined as well. The General Secretary of the BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, is expected to present his report for the year under review to the Board at the meeting.”
The statement added that dignitaries expected at the meeting include the Patron of the BSN, Gen. Dr. Yakubu Gowon, national officers, delegates from across the country and some senior members of the management team of the organisation.
The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into Nigerian languages, publishes, and distributes the Scriptures, as well as raises funds for the Bible work and execution of programmes that help people to engage with the Word of God to transform their lives.
