Recently, wife of Continental Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God Middle East Continent, Pastor (Mrs.) Rachel Odesola, during the yearly women conference held at the Provincial headquarters, 11th Road, 3rd Avenue, Ipaja, Lagos state, enjoined Lagos Province 12 Sisters to make eternity their goal.

Pastor (Mrs.) Odesola gave the charge when she spoke on: Focused and Ever-Increasing Christian Woman,the theme of the 2022 event. She went further by explaining that a focused woman will make heaven by doing God’s will through positive kingdom assignments, overcoming fear, having confidence in God, praying always and having faith in God at all times.

Earlier, the Pastor-in-Charge of Lagos Province 12, Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, who spoke on the Focused Female Leader from Proverbs 10:31 stated that a focused female leader is one who possesses the ability of the eagle which includes: vision, power to navigate obstacles, strength and focus all year round.

The Convener, Pastor (Mrs.) Aanuoluwani Olaniyan, the wife of the Pastor-in- Charge of Lagos Province 12, Ipaja, who welcomed the women to the conference, thanked the Almighty God for making the day a reality. She also thanked the Mother-in-Israel, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye who gave the theme to the women across the provinces. She explained that Mummy G. O’s foresight has helped the women in RCCG to be focused and move with the train.  She further said, “I want to thank God, our daddy at the Province, the invited guests, elders, the Pastors-in-Charge of Zones, Areas, Parishes and all the departments in the province for making the conference a success.”

The Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Lagos Province 12 (Admin), Pastor Olugbenga Anjorin, gave practical lessons in overcoming distractions through applying the force of focus. He told the women to be swift to hear, slow to speak, never expecting much from people, avoiding distractions while being alert in prayers and giving thanks always.

The Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Pastor Fred Odekhian, told the women that they are too favoured to be unfocused as he enumerated the virtues of Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. He told the women to always remember that they are favoured to bring fruits all year round.

The women were also enjoined to be focused financially by Pastor (Mrs.) Abosede Anjorin, wife of the Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Admin, as she x-rayed women making money through hair making, perfume making, tie and dye, popcorn making, farming and the likes as a support to their spouses.

The “Family will” was another topic that impressed focus into the women and their spouses during the conference as Barrister Olufunke Omobolaji gave an exhortation on the topic. Similarly, the women were charged to make their home a prayer ground as prayer points were given by Assistant Pastor (Mrs.) Roseline Oluwarinu.

On a lighter note, the women took to the soccer field to showcase their football skills when the Zonal Women Team played against the Dominion Women Soccer Team. Pastor (Mrs.) Odesola presented the Cup to the winners while medals were given out to the participants.

Other speakers at the conference include: Pastor (Mrs.) Adeola Mensah, Pastor-in-Charge of Lagos Province 15, Surulere, and Pastor (Mrs.) Margaret Daramola, Assistant Continental Overseer, Hospitality. The Pastor-in-Charge of Lagos Province 12, Ipaja, Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, anointed the women and worshippers during the grand finale of the women conference while souls were also won.
