Assistant General Overseer and Pastor-in-Charge of Continent 3, Pastor Johnson Funso Odesola, has officially inaugurated a newly created RCCG Breakthrough Cathedral, Region 43, with headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State.
In his message titled “League of Champions”, Pastor Odesola enjoined the congregation to join the association of the champions.
He described those in the association as peculiar people who stand out in the middle of a corrupt generation, willing to do the will of God at all cost, defending the interests of God and above all, courageous to confront the un-progressive crowd.
The man of God asked the people to volunteer to be recruited and have trust in the weapon that the Chief Captain has to give. He added that obedience to this will guarantees a life filled with victories.
In his welcome speech, the Pastor-in-Charge of the Region, Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, appreciated the uncommon grace upon the life of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, for providing leadership that creates space for someone like him to contribute to the work of the kingdom.
In like manner, he appreciated the Continental Overseer, Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) J.F. Odesola, for the confidence reposed in him to be a co-labourer in the vineyard of God. He described him as a leader that supports his subordinates and allows them to contribute in their own little way to the kingdom of God.
Olaniyan charged all the pastors in the Region to double their commitment so as not to fail God wherever they are.
“I want to call on all Pastors at all levels, ministers and workers of RCCG Region 43 to rise, embrace and do everything required of us and ensure we do not fail God and our leaders. We are expected to move the work of God forward.
“We must all key into the vision 2032 which is aimed at exponential growth of the church and the kingdom of God.
“Let us rise to do the work of him that hath sent us while it is day. John 9:4,” he added.
The pioneer Regional Pastor however congratulated the Continental Overseer for the progress that the entire continent is enjoying. He appreciated the efforts of the Assistant Pastor-in-charge of the Region, Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) Olaleye Olayinka, all Pastors in charge of provinces, all Assistant Pastors-in-charge of Provinces, national Secretaries, Church Growth Officers, Honorary Elders, Pastors-in-charge of Zones, Areas and Parishes and their wives, adding that all workers and ministers in Region 43 are not exempted.
Senior pastors at the inauguration included, PIC of Lagos 90, Pastor Sade Paul, PIC Osun 3, Pastor & Pastor (Mrs) Balogun and PIC Osun 9, Pastor Obembe. Others are National officers such as Regional Evangelist, CGOs, National Secretaries, Pastors-in-charge of Zones, Areas and Parishes in the region.
The team from the Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) where the Pastor-in-charge of the Region is the Deputy Rector included, Registrar, Mr. Odugbesan Babatunde and Director of Entrepreneurship, Dr. Sunday
