The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has called on Nigerians not to remain in defeat but to turn to God,, the Lifter of heads, who has the ability to take them out of woods and lift them out of the dungeons, irrespective of how they got into it.
He gave this assurance on Sunday during the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
Having the theme, “The Lifter Up of my Head,” Adeboye also used the moment to pray for workers in private sectors, youths, youth corpers, self-employed, job seekers and their families.
The RCCG General Overseer listed challenges that can lead to down casting as barrenness, failure, defeat, stagnation and shame.
He assured that no matter the depth of any of these that anyone finds himself or herself, Jesus who was lifted up on the cross for mankind and bore our sorrows will lift the individual’s up from any of these problems.
He however warned that anyone who wants this divine intervention should make restitution of any possession acquired wrongfully, undo every damage, adding that there is no greater solution or open door.
Fielding questions from journalists at the end of the service, a Pastor in the Throne of Grace Parish, Pastor Adebayo Adeyemo disclosed that the parish has been investing in skills acquisition of the members of the church, especially young people who showed interest in skills acquisition in their choice area of work.
