Pastor Toyin Olugbemi

It was an atmosphere of thanksgiving when family, friends and the entire church of God congregated to celebrate the 60th birthday of Director of Personnel in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 3, Victory House Festac, Pastor Oluwatoyin Olugbemi.

The event was recently held at the church auditorium with all praises offered unto God.

In his message, Pastor Brown Oyitso, the Pastor in charge of Region 19 said: “We are here to celebrate our pastor, a friend, a leader, a husband, a father. For my wife and I, we are to celebrate a son, a friend, our ally, a helper of our region because the figures from his province help our boss to commend us. Hallelujah! So he is a helper as far as our region is concerned.”
Some of the attendees gave various testimonies about the good deeds of the celebrant.

“He is my father; he is my pillar; he is everything after God to me. He brought me up from nowhere even as a father in the family. I thank God He gave me the grace to be a part of the Assembly of God,” a young man said.

For Pastor Efik, “Pastor Olugbemi is much more than a leader in office, he is an apostle. I cannot forget him saying ‘tomorrow don’t do this.’ ‘Haa, don’t drive o, when you get to where you are going now, don’t drive, I’ll pray for you’. If he sees something happening, he will tell me.”

“He is such a man of fast. He will declare days of fasting and that was when I started calling him the liquid pastor because after fasting he will say you have to go on liquid now. He has actually been a great inspiration to me. I want to bless God for the life of our pastor,” an elderly man said.

The occasion was attended by who is who in RCCG including, a member of the Church Governing Council, Pastor David Kuo, Special Assistant to the General Overseer, (Administration), Pastor Oladele Balogun and his counterpart in Personnel, Pastor Julius Olalekan amongst others.
