Nigeria is at the precipice of collapse if drastic action is not taken to rescue it.
With more than seven years leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress, Nigeria has dived into economic and security woes of unqualifiable magnitude with attendant loss of thousands of innocent lives in the hand of terrorists, bandits and kidnappers. In a sane clime, Buhari would have resigned or been impeached by the National Assembly but the reverse is the case in Nigeria.
Prior to the 2015 presidential election, Buhari and his cronies launched media war against the then president Goodluck Jonathan accusing him of corruption and gross incompetence to handle security challenges and improve economic fortunes of the country. Almost eight years down the line of the Buhari-led government of the APC, it is obvious that Nigerians have been deceived once again by the politicians. Today, the country has been plunged into the worst economic and security scenarios.
Peter Obi who had recently decamped from the PDP to Labour Party and secured the party’s presidential ticket has spurred unprecedented surprises going by his huge followership among the youth folks across the country. The Obi admirers christened as Obi’s movement are not taking any chance at all as their determination for leadership change through democratic process is uncompromising and this is giving the APC/PDP leaders a sleepless night.
