The leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Workers’ Fund has appreciated members of the association who recently retired from the mission.
The get-together ceremony to honour the retirees was held at the association’s secretariat and chaired by its chairman, Pastor Emanuel Oluwafemi Ako, who is also the Acting Director of RCCG Audit and Assistant Pastor in charge of Admin, Lagos Province 14.
Ako enumerated how the association took off and the development that has taken place over the years.
Delivering a short exhortation, Pastor Toluwalope reminded the retirees of the benefits of God to their lives from the day of their birth and through their service years in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Speaking on the benefits of serving God, Toluwalope, who doubles as the association’s Vice Chairman, took his text from Psalm 103:5.
“The benefits of God are many that we cannot quantify them but the most important thing is for us not to forget. By the time we are able to remember where these blessings are coming from and the source, then God is happy,” he said.
A total of 27 retirees were sent forth. They include: Pastor Oke Isaac Adebowale, Pastor Epedipolu Joseph, Pastor Odesanya Israel Anuoluwa, Pastor Mrs Laramo Caroline, Pastor Stephen Dauda Oladele, Pastor Adekojo Emmanuel, Pastor Mrs Alegbejo Bosede Janet, Pastor Opara Lawrence, Pastor Oluwabiyi Olatunde David, Pastor Oluwatosin Samuel Gbenga and Pastor Jacob Olakunle among others.
The association’s chairman, in company of other executive members, presented special gifts to the retirees in appreciation of their membership during their active and meritorious service to RCCG.
Meanwhile, the association’s treasurer, Pastor Stephen Oladimeji, requested the gathering for a minute’s silence for the late pioneering chairman of the association, Pastor Suberu, whose wife was in attendance.
Pastor Oludare Raphael, who was a special guest at the occasion, gave the vote of thanks while Pastor Mrs. Ako said the closing prayer.
