The Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) is gearing up to celebrate its 3rd and 4th combined convocation.
The Rector, RECTEM, Dr Stella Mofunanya disclosed this at a news conference in Mowe, Ogun State.
In her address, she stated that the faith-based Polytechnic has implemented five academic sessions since it commenced operations few years back.
“It is my pleasure to have you responding to the College invitation once more in celebration of the 3rd and 4th combined convocation ceremony of this great citadel of learning to the glory of God.
“The College has successfully implemented five academic sessions from inception in 2018 to 2023, the current 2023/2024 academic session is the sixth. “I am pleased to inform you that the forth coming convocation ceremony on the 13th of February, 2024 is to enable the College award National Diploma to three hundred and ninety six (396) graduates of the Polytechnic from four schools namely: School of Management; School of Environmental Design Technology; School of Science & Technology; and School of Engineering,” Mofunanya said.
On the unbundling of Computer Science course, the Rector welcomed the development, announcing that the institution had put in place human and material requirements to fully carry out the directive announced by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recently.
She said, “We are 80 percent prepared for the implementation of the NBTE directive on the unbundling of Computer Science course. Only that it will cost more.”
