The Redeemed College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to run Higher National Diploma (HND) courses.

The Rector, RECTEM, Dr. Stella Mofunaya made the disclosure at a press conference recently in Mowe, Ogun State.

She said: “”The screening was thorough but since we have had requisite facilities in place, we were able to cross the hurdle without any compromise and secured NBTE’s approval of the HND programmes which include: Accountancy, Computer Science, Estate Management and Valuation, Quality Survey, Architectural Technology among others to commence in January, 2024.

“In addition to our robust IT programme with adequate facility, we also have science laboratory under which we have the Microbiology option, Environmental option, Biology option and Chemistry option”

“By the grace of God, in January 2024, we are going to take off with the HND courses. Because we do not want to compromise, we ensured we did the needful, and that is ensuring number one, staffing, facilities and equipment.”

While calling on former students of the school with OND degree to come back and complete their HND degree, the Rector enjoined students from other schools with requisite qualifications who wish to complete their HND programme with RECTEM to apply as well.

Determined to make the faith-based Polytechnic a world class, the Rector announced that the school will “very soon” approach regulators for approval of additional programmes.

RECTEM Rector expressed gratitude to the school Proprietor and General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enich Adeboye; his wife, Folu, the school staff and Management of NBTE for the approval, which, according to her did not come cheap.
