Pastor Ola Adejubee

God’s intention for humankind from inception of time is for us to live in abundance. This was evident when He created the Garden of Eden and placed Adam in it. God created everything the first man would ever need before He formed him and placed him in the garden (Genesis 2:1).

This first of all implies that God didn’t put man in an unfinished garden. He put Adam in a completed and endowed one. According to Encarta dictionary, the word ‘finish’ means to ‘complete the surface effect of something: to treat something, especially wood or metal, in order to achieve the desired surface effect’. Thus, the Garden of Eden was not without some desired special effects (Genesis 2:4-6).

This speaks of the initial irrigation system God had put in place to water the earth before the rain began to fall (Genesis 2:8-14).

This speaks of the economic potentials of the garden and its natural endowments. The trees were pleasant to the eyes and good for food. The gold was exceptional and of great fiscal value. The bdellium is a precious stone. A crystal. It consists of a water-soluble gum, a resin and an essential oil. Bdellium is used in perfumery, as incense and in traditional medicine. It is an adulterant of the more costly myrrh. *

Accordingly, onyx is a banded variety of the oxide mineral chalcedony. It is cryptocrystalline, consisting of fine intergrowths of the silica minerals quarts and moganite. It also has a long history of use for hardstone carving and jewellery.

These and many more bring to light the economic potentials of the garden that God planted in Eden and put the first man. It was a garden with lots of desired monetary effects. Everything in the garden was valuable. Even the river that flowed through the garden which eventually split into four great rivers served a huge intent. It watered the garden. Everything was perfect because they all came from a perfect and most-creative being, the Almighty God.

The earth that the Almighty God created wasn’t empty. It is still rich in every precious thing you can ever think of. Everything was in great abundance. This leads us to the first law – the law of abundance.

The Law of Abundance

Merriam-Webster defines the word abundance as ‘a relative degree of plentifulness, an ample quantity; affluence, wealth’. It also means to have something in abundant supply.

The law of abundance is a universal law that states that the universe is filled with abundance of anything anyone can ever think of. We live in a universe that is sufficient in all things. There is a huge supply of everything: money, material things, natural resources, even humankind. The world is never in short supply of all you think you need. The question is: why are you not having them?

Defining the law of abundance, Brian Tracy says, “There is ample money for everyone who knows how to acquire it and keep it.” Now, if there is ample money for everyone, why is it that many don’t have them? Despite the huge supply of everything in a universe so rich and vast, why is it that many don’t have what they need? The point is, many don’t know how to acquire what they think they are in need of.

The first key to having anything you want is knowing it is available. It is not only available; it is available in abundant supply. Be it money, material things, or whatever. Your job is to first train your mind to accept this, irrespective of what situation might be saying. Whatever you want or need is in abundant supply. Brian Tracy further stated, “There is plenty of money available to you. There is no shortage. You can have virtually all you really want and need.”

Michael Bernard Beckwith observed, “There is a lie that acts like a virus within the mind of humanity. And that lie is, ‘There’s not enough good to go around.’ There’s lack and there’s limitation and there’s just not enough.”

The truth is that there’s more than enough good to go around. There are more than enough creative ideas. There is more than enough power. There is more than enough love. There’s more than enough joy. All of this begins to come through a mind that is aware of its own infinite nature.

There is enough for everyone. If you believe it, if you can see it, if you act from it, it will show up for you. That’s the truth. Whatever you want is available and in abundant supply.

Secondly, you need to take a decision to have whatever you want, desire or need. Becoming wealthy is only a decision away. Everything begins to change from this point. Somehow the resources of the universe start getting mobilized on your behalf almost at this point, all because you are getting yourself aligned with a universal law that states that all things are available and in abundant supply. There is plenty of anything for you and anyone anywhere.

Thirdly, you must create the capacity for abundance. That begins with your mental capability. You must train your mind to accept and attract abundance. Read empowering books that challenge you to think and work creatively.

Develop yourself and enhance your personal worth. Interestingly, the human brain has the capacity to do anything it is programmed to do. It is like a computing system, once it is programmed, success become inevitable. Your ability to train your thoughts and channel your imagination towards creating your ideal life is of inestimable value. If you can think it, you can attract. If you can attract it, you can enjoy it (Genesis 11:6).

You attract into your life anything that becomes dominant in your imagination. If you release your mental ability to imagine abundance, then you would have set in motion the capacity to attract it.
