Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, second son of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, has reportedly resigned from the Church.
Isaac was recently transferred from the Church United States branch and appointed as the Global Youth Pastor at the church headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
Reports received from various sources revealed that he resigned to start up his own ministry.
However, there have been many yet to be substantiated reason(s) for his resignation considering the effect of public perception on his father, Bishop David Oyedepo and the Living Faith Church in general.
Isaac, who is described as a principled and blunt personality is said to have disagreed with certain administrative policies of the church, particularly in the area of staff poor remuneration. Some have speculated that he might also not be unhappy with the circumstance surrounding his transfer back to Nigeria.
Church Gist, a popular Christian platform reports that Isaac recently explained how he received his calling in an interview ‘The Bridge’ conducted by Pastor Steve Ogah in which Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr featured.
Isaac had said, “My God-given mandate is to reclaim a generation and to ensure this generation sees the fire of God’s revival in our generation.”
However, some observers believe that the root cause of his mixed feeling with his father could still be resolved amicably since Living Faith Church is yet to officially accept his resignation.
Isaac and his elder brother, David Jr., were ordained as pastors in May 2007 by Kenneth Copeland.
He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and has served as the resident pastor of the Living Faith Church International, Maryland, USA, since October 2018.
Isaac is married to Ayomitide Oyedepo and their union is blessed with four children.
