Former General Overseer of Doulos Ministry, Rev. Charles Achonwa has admonished graduands from Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC) 2023 -2024 session at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) 72nd Convention, held on Monday at the Redemption City of God, on the need to have ‘beautiful feet’ by maintaining “clean hands and pure hearts” to become good ambassadors of Jesus Christ.
Achonwa, in his message, emphasized the importance of tapping into one’s divine potential. He exhorted the graduands to recognize and activate their divine perspectives in order to achieve extraordinary success and purpose in their ministries, thus unlocking their inner power and unleashing a profound impact on the world.
Speaking on the topic, “Beautiful Feet”, the former Crusade Director of RCCG explained that the term “beautiful feet” denotes the intrinsic value and appeal of a person’s message, symbolizing the grace and power that radiate from the messenger when they are fully aligned with their divine calling.
He urged the graduands to strive to become messengers of beauty and sweetness, letting their divine perspectives illuminate their path and infuse their messages with divine wisdom and grace.
Clarifying the concept of “Beautiful Feet,” Rev. Achonwa further pointed to the massive success of RCCG’s “Lekki 98” crusade as a prime example of its power. He credited the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, with being a living embodiment of this divine attribute, noting that his deep faith and dedication to God enabled him to attract a multitude of souls to the crusade, thus transforming it into a historic event with a profound spiritual impact.
He challenged the graduands to become wholly consumed and empowered by God, allowing His divine guidance to direct their paths and ministries. He exhorted them to be exploit-driven, referring to the desire to achieve great things for God’s kingdom, and striving for the kind of deep, abiding faith and profound connection to God that will endow them with “Beautiful Feet”.
The cleric also emphasized the importance of spending time in deep, fervent prayer and devotion to God as a means of receiving the power necessary for effective ministry. He implored the graduands to “tarry before God” – meaning to wait patiently in His presence and seek His anointing until they are filled with divine power and anointing, prepared to carry out their ministries with authority and effectiveness.
He urged then to exploit every opportunity for the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Tarry before God until you are endued with power.
“Be exploit driven. Every opportunity you have, see it as an opportunity for exploit for God. Be ready to face Goliath and bring him down. David was a man who was exploit driven, when the lion came for his sheep he said no am in charge of this sheep,” Achonwa stated.
A total of 6,080 candidates graduated from the college for 2023-2024 academic session including 5 PhDs students while 7,255 ministers have passed out through the college refresher courses between 2019 till date.
