The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has enjoined Nigerians to absolutely put their confidence in God even as the economic hardship continues to bite the masses and low income earners harder occasioned by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s monetary policy and astronomical increase in the pump price of petrol.
He assured Nigerians that if they surrender to His will and truly trust Him, God is ready to turn around the present unprecedented sufferings to testimonies.
Adeboye was at the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG headquarters (Throne of Grace), Ebute-metta where he spoke on the theme “Seasons of wonders” and prayed for husbands, wives, children and other family members for abundant provision.
Speaking through his Special Assistant to General Overseer on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, he noted that this period of scarcity of fuel and currency whereby Nigerians are thrown into untold sufferings call for seasons of wonders.
“In Samaria, there was a horrible famine to the point that some women became cannibals. In the midst of this, there was a prophetic proclamation by Prophet Elisha that within 24 hours, there would be a dramatic favourable change which came to pass.
“In the same vein, God is ready to usher Nigerians into seasons of wonders but Nigerians must wholly turn to God” he said.
He recalled a lot of miraculous intervention of God in the affairs of Nigeria when the country would have been thrown into chaos and assured that no matter the current situation in the country, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
He called on Nigerians to trust God and refuse to rationalise the situation which will negate the principles of miracles.
He also asked Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) and vote appropriately without selling their conscience which will jeopardize their future.
