The 16th of June was a day of grandeur for Pastor Kunle Ajayi, a renowned saxophonist of Pastor E. A. Adebayo, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) as he celebrated his 60th birthday.

A delightful moment ensued as Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, wife of the revered General Overseer, humbly approached the stage seeking her husband’s permission before delivering a captivating speech of admiration and praise for the distinguished saxophonist, on his 60th birthday celebration.
In her words, “There is a special father in the house today that I would like you to help us celebrate. He is a wonderful son of the most high, a pastor in RCCG. Today is a special day for him, nobody else than pastor Kunle Ajayi.”
As the choir sang a heartfelt birthday song, Ajayi stepped forward, his eyes shining with gratitude. He knelt before the veteran preachers, overwhelmed by the honor bestowed upon him. The saxophonist who had poured his soul into worship now lay prostrate, a living hymn of thanksgiving.

Folu Adeboye said ” Daddy said his prayers is that his children should be greater than him and when you want your children to be great, you don’t rain abusive language on him, you encourage him, praise, applaud, and celebrate him. We are celebrating him, he is due for a change, he is worthy of this celebration, He has been our son for more than 40 years, today is his 60th birthday, before daddy prays for him, you will sing sweet father to him.”
The jubilant congregation erupted into a harmonious rendition of the tender song, “Sweet Father,” as they poured out their heartfelt affection for the esteemed Pastor Kunle Ajayi. The powerful moment was emotionally resonant, bringing tears of joy to the birthday celebrant’s eyes as he basked in the glow of their sincere adoration.
As the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, laid hands on the esteemed Pastor Kunle Ajayi, he uttered a resonating prayer, expressing gratitude to the Lord for blessing the occasion of his 60th birthday and beseeching the Almighty to illuminate his path with renewed vigor, joy, and success as he continues to walk in the light of the Lord and serve the community with unwavering passion.
