This law speaks of the universal law of giving and receiving. It means before you can be on the receiving end, you must, first, be on the giving end. You cannot receive without giving (Genesis 8:2).
It means this is a universal law that will remain in force as long as the earth remains. We all will have to deal with it in all our daily existence.
Life Is All About Trading Value
We were taught in our elementary science class that human beings receive oxygen from plants and give out carbon dioxide to the plants. This suggests interdependence. It means if the plants do not give out oxygen, it won’t be in a position to receive carbon dioxide from humans and vice versa. This paints a picture of a trade, a transaction, or an exchange. This natural phenomenon establishes a more essential law of life which states that before you can qualify to be on the receiving end, you must first give (Luke 6:38).
You cannot expect to receive money unless you have something to give in exchange. It is either there is a product you have to offer, or a service you want to render. If you do not have any of the two, you do not qualify for a financial reward. It is not enough to say because you have prayed, money must come to you; you must also think and ask yourself what you can offer in exchange for money.
What Do You Have to Give?
This is a million-dollar question. That is the question that changes everything. It is the question that positions you for wealth. Look around you, you will discover that everyone that is legitimately making money or who is rich that you can point at, is offering something of value. If you do not identify what you can give or trade for money, it will never flow in your direction.
Again, the question is: what do you have to give? What can you trade for money?
Take a moment and think about it. Once you can locate it, it is only a matter of time before money begins to flow incessantly in your direction. In other words, if you can’t find it, you won’t ever locate your way to financial freedom. This question is your compass to wealth creation.
That is how Bill Gates did it. His revolutionary feats in personal computing made it impossible for him to go broke. That is why he is the richest man on earth today. Ask the richest Black the same question and you will find the same answer. Aliko Dangote didn’t become the richest man in Africa by chance. He became rich by trading something of value for financial value. He created products that meet the daily needs of ordinary people. Check the market and you will find ‘Dangote’ everything: Dangote sugar, flour, rice, spaghetti, tomato paste, cement, etc. He understood the law of exchange early in life and worked himself into a position of wealth and affluence.
This does not happen by chance; it happens on purpose. You have to discover what product or service you can offer in exchange for money before you can become entitled to any monetary reward. The more people you can offer it to, the better your financial inflow. The better your financial inflow, the quicker your way to wealth.
You cannot get something for nothing. The Maker did not structure the universe to function that way. You cannot say because you spent weeks on the mountain praying for money, it will just show up the next moment you show up in the valley. Unless you first conceive the idea of what product or service to offer, your prayers may end in mere religiosity.
This Law Is A Leveller
Practically, this law is a leveller. It has no regard for any person. You align yourself with it, it produces for you. You do not align yourself with it, your financial struggle continues. You break this law and you suffer the consequences. You obey it, and your financial misery ends in a matter of time.
This law has nothing to do with who you are or where you come from. As it is producing for a White man, so it produces for the Black man. As it is changing the financial experience of a ‘Bill Gates’, so it is changing the financial life of an ‘Aliko Dangote’. Therefore, this has nothing to do with the colour of your skin, your race, nationality, gender, religion, etc.; it only has to do with your readiness to align your life with the law. This is the way to maximize it to your benefits.
How It Works
It is expedient that you understand how this universal law functions. You cannot expect people to give back to you, if you are not giving anything of value to them. When you give your time, knowledge and expertise to your employer, you get paid at the end of the month for it. When you do something of value with your talent, you have simply positioned yourself for financial reward. When you write amazing songs or produce an album like Frank Edwards, Sinach, Tope Alabi or Lara George, you get enlisted for monetary reward.
You may write a book on any important subject that affects a lot of people. Perhaps, a book on how to lose weight. It seems a lot of people are struggling with that. You may write on dieting or nutrition. You may also write on personal excellence. This becomes an intellectual property that gives you a legitimate right to receive financial reward.
Yours may not be an intellectual service or product; you can start by offering solutions to people’s problems. People will be more than willing to pay you for solving problems for them. A lot of people have issues with doing their laundry, so you can create a business around this problem. You can go from house to house collecting clothes that they will like to dry-clean. Other people have problem with keeping their house clean. You can offer yourself to serve them every weekend and get paid for your service.
Some working-class women see going to market as a great burden. It is not that they don’t want to do it, they just don’t have enough time for it because of the demands of their work. You can make yourself available to help the people in that category. If you are honest and faithful, your opportunities will be unlimited.
There are many legitimate things you can do in exchange for money; you only need to be humble enough to find them. This is another law you must maximize to your benefit.
